Position will be based in the US West Coast and Rocky Mountain states supporting customer sites in those regions and reporting to Park Americas HQ in Santa Clara, CA.

Responsibility: Provides technical customer & applications support for commercial Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) products (i.e, Industrial automated AFMs, Research AFMs) and services offered by Park Systems. The Field Service Engineer will support our customer base in the field and in-house.



  • Perform installations and provide training of our products at customer sites or in-house.
  • Provide technical consultations and customer supports via phone, email, internet or onsite visit.
  • Report and record customer issues and implement solutions.
  • Consult with R&D teams for novel technical solutions as needed.
  • Provide repair and preventive maintenance as well as analytical service as needed in-house or at customer sites.
  • Provide analytical services and option products sales support via technical consultations, quote generation, as well as hands-on technical supports in house or at customer sites as needed.
  • Present and demonstrate our products and technologies in person and online or in the field.


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or science fields.
  • Willing to travel up to 80% U.S. and occasionally internationally.
  • May undertake customer assignments requiring extended on-site support.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to work and collaborate with others.
  • Prior professional experience in AFM industry a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Availability to work off hours as required.
  • Ability to work in the US and qualified to obtain security clearances as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds from floor to hip height.
